Need to prepare for your branding photography session in Atlanta? I’m going over my top three tips in the blog below!
Branding photography does so much more for your business than provide you with new photos to refresh your website! Branding photography is a way to convey the message of the experience that your business provides to your potential clients. Think about that for a second! If you were searching for a local business in your area and you landed on a website where you were met with photos filled with bold, vibrant colors, what would that tell you about the brand? Would those colors tell you that the brand was energetic and on the move? Now imagine landing on the website of a competing business that used photos with tones of black, white, and gray. Would you assume that particular business was a bit more “by the book”? Your branding photography says so much about your business!
Scroll through for my top three tips on how to prepare for your branding photography session.

Determine The Purpose Of Your Branding Photography Session In Atlanta
Branding photography is not a one-and-done. Your business will grow and evolve over time and it will be important to stay on top of those changes with fresh branding photography at least every quarter. However, it’ll be up to you to determine the exact purpose of your shoot by figuring out the usage of the photos taken at each session. For example, will these photos be used on your blog? In a brochure that will be passed out to potential clients? Or will they reside on the very front page of your website? It’s easy to see how each of these 3 touchpoints of your brand serves a different purpose that requires its own unique preparation.

Let’s Set The Scene
Now that you know the exact purpose behind your session, let’s set the scene, literally! Let’s brainstorm a list of scenes that we need to showcase in order to convey the purpose of your photos. Are we conveying the team behind your brand? If so, we should recreate what a weekly meeting looks like in your business. Are we aiming for this session to convey how you work with clients? Then we need to set you up in your natural day-to-day working environment to recreate your client experience through brand photography!

Props Are A Necessary Part Of Your Session!
Using props in your branding photography is a must for conveying the story and experience of your brand. But the word “prop” might leave you wondering what exactly it is you need to have on hand at your session. And the answer is, it really all depends. For some brands, the use of props might be phones, laptops, and notebooks. For others, it might be plants, flowers, or even modern furniture that sits in their office on a daily basis! Your props will be unique to your business and how you work. More than likely the props we use during your session will be things you use in your business, everyday!
