My work as an Atlanta Brand photographer puts me in the same room with so many amazing business owners and entrepreneurs who are just starting their companies. It also puts me side by side with small to large firms who are working through the rebranding process. No matter where these amazing businesses are in their journey, they choose to work with me because they know the importance of conveying their message with visually branded content.
Brand photography is the visual representation of your business. Who you are, who your business is, who you serve, and how you serve them. Having visual content that answers those questions for your potential clients allows them to form a connection. This is called visual storytelling. But that visual storytelling journey your potential clients have to take in order to make that connection needs to happen with every click & scroll of your website.
Think about how much research you do on a brand or product before you hit that contact button or click add to cart! Your audience and your potential customers will be carefully looking over your website the same way. From your website banner to the headshots of you & your employees on the “about page”, to the in-action photos on your “work with us” page. Your potential clients are trying to figure out if they are in the right place. What message is your brand photography conveying to them?
I will say this! It’s easy to approach your brand photography as a one-and-done for your business. You schedule your shoot, receive your photos, and all the excitement of your launch or rebrand is buzzing when you place them on your website or share them on social media. However, with businesses of every size, you will eventually reach a point of growth and/or evolution. Pretty soon, the photos from your original shoot no longer represent your business. It’s easy for me, as an Atlanta brand photographer, to say “…. but your business needs new photos”! But the truth is, your potential clients need those new photos to form a connection.
